Building Energy Management System
As approved by the Government’s Energy Technology List, our Building Energy Management System (BEMS) is an exceptional money-saving solution for heating a Sports Hall and to reduce leisure centre heating costs.
Providing maximum comfort conditions while simultaneously reducing heating and energy bills by 20-50%+ is the main outcome of installing HeatingSave’s Building Management System. Not only this, but our Sports Hall heating solution is proven to reduce the carbon footprint of any Sports Hall or Leisure Centre - helping you on the way to becoming net zero/carbon neutral.
Additionally, our Building Management System can be retrofitted to existing sports hall heating solutions, preventing having to replace the entire heating system and reducing the installation cost for sports and leisure facilities.
HeatingSave’s Building management System also monitors the air quality of a Sports Hall or Leisure Centre. It does this using its environmental monitoring sensors to measure carbon dioxide levels, relative humidity, temperature, volatile organic compounds in the air as well and other sensors to measure light and sound levels.
Destratification Fans
Condensation building up on walls and floors can often be an issue for sports halls, posing a threat to player and user safety as well as causing damage to the building.
By introducing a Destratification Fan you can be sure to reduce condensation and keep the hot air circulating around the whole room, instead of sitting near the ceiling where it is useless for users of the sports hall on ground level.
Destratification Fans reduce stratification (hot air stuck at the top of the building) and reduce wasted energy which ultimately reduces energy consumption and heating costs.
Destratification Fans have CUT heating bills by up to 90% in many sports halls!
Thermostatic Radiator Valves & Occupancy Sensors
Energy can account for 25-30% of the overall operating cost of a dry sports facility and is often the next largest cost after staff.
Thankfully, HeatingSave’s Thermostatic Radiator Valves (TRVs) can be set in place to adjust the hot water flow to individual radiators depending on customer preferences - preventing the heating from being on 24/7.
Our Occupancy Sensors are the perfect solution for heating areas of a Sports Hall/Leisure Centre that are not in regular use. For example, changing rooms, hallways, offices, and toilets. An Occupancy Sensor knows when someone is in the room or not, so automatically adjusts the heating accordingly.

Heating Diary & Room Booking System
The intermittent use of sports halls requires a heating system that can rapidly respond to changed conditions – a short response time to achieve comfort conditions. An overall minimum air temperature of 12°C to 16°C is adequate for active sports, whereas 20°C may be more appropriate for social use or more sedentary activity. Different activities that take place there would require different ambient temperatures, which is made possible by our Heating Diary and Room Booking System.
The Heating Diary and Room Booking System features ensures Sports Halls are only heated/cooled when in use according to the Heating Diary. HeatingSave’s Room Booking System allows users to set temperatures to the maximum comfort level for each individual Sports Hall booking.
“The HeatingSave building management system is a fantastic product that can save money, cut carbon and improve air quality, which is important”.
